My husband and I were very nervous going into construction on our new dog daycare space. We knew we could do a lot of the work ourselves, but we would need help with a few things, and were not sure who to trust or where to go. Thank goodness our friend had recently hired Todd to work on her house, and had nothing but great things to say! We have been so grateful for the referral, and we share it in spite of the risk that he may become too busy to work for us again someday! We have also referred him out to several clients and friends, all of whom thanked us and were similarly impressed with his speed and quality of work, as well as his very reasonable prices.
We really appreciated his expert guidance, and the help he gave us in figuring out exactly HOW we were going to get from bare concrete walls to the cozy, cheerful space we have now. Both projects we gave him were completed SUPER quickly, very neatly, and to our complete satisfaction. He added little touches we had not necessarily discussed, like angling the bases of the doors of our safety gate, which are on a slant, so that little paws and noses stay safe. He also left a couple of wooden wedges for us to prop open the doors, which was thoughtful. His sense of craftsmanship is obvious in all the work he did for us, which is all beautiful, solid, and feels well-made and finished.
Todd even listened to me complain, at some length, about the City permit process and kept his sense of humor. He should probably charge extra for that.
In the exhausting, baffling, anxiety-provoking process of bringing our dreams to life in brick and mortar, it was nice to know that Todd was there to make it happen and get it done, on budget and on time.
